Another one of our superbly smashingly super stand up comedy club for you!!!This month were delighted to be inviting to the delectable surroundings of The Phoenix the talents of Eddy Midgley, Alexander Bennett and headlined by one of our all-time favourites, Ben van Der Velde!Do note line-up is subject to changeBen Van der Velde is a stand-up comedian, actor, improviser and presenter. Over the past few years, has spread joy and nonsense to all four corners of the British Isles, as well as Greece, Estonia, Latvia, Finland and Norway.
Outside the circuit, Ben has performed a voodoo re-marriage ceremony, founded the Church of the Holy Kazoo with comedy legend Mark Thomas, and walked the entire London Underground network to raise money for The Refugee Council.Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue.

His relatable storytelling, cheeky delivery, and tales of financial struggles, drug culture, and the internet reflect the experiences of todays youth in modern-day England. Eddy has quickly become one of the most exciting new acts in the UK.Alexander Bennetts comedy has been variously described as dark, silly, filthy and thoughtful. He has numerous Edinburgh Fringe runs under his belt, has filmed several stand up specials and he created the cult hit comedy game show Hell To Play.
