Luke Wright: Yes

When I was younger I was certain about everything. These days I'm less sure. This new show is about getting older and learning to live with uncertainty. About watching your children grow up, your parents grow old and your heroes become complicated. It's about politics, family, friendship and England. About changing your mind. About looking at the world honestly without giving in to despair.Along the way there are blackbirds, Premier Inns, George Osborne, old pubs, seaside towns, English apples and a man who really likes putting flags up.Funny, tender and absurd by turns, these poems are an attempt to keep faith in people and find reasons to be cheerful. To say yes."Honesty, humour, ire and wonder. He is at the peak of his powers."
The Stage"His poems shoot arrows through the heart."
The List"A sharpness and wisdom that lifts the soul and soothes the battered heart."
The Scotsman"Witty observation and rollicking acuity."
