Details

The play is set on the day of Victoria and Albert’s betrothal. The troubled and overbearing up-bringing that Victoria has suffered from her ambitious mother and her mother’s lover, comes to a head. The young Queen is now in a position that cannot be overruled, and she is determined to get her own way regarding her mother’s future and her emerging romance with Albert.
