Saturday 16 July at 2.00pm Meet at Dumfries Museum.

A chance to find out more about the lives of working people in Dumfries with local historian, Ian Gasse. Visit places connected with protests, strikes, food riots and Chartism. Discover the stories behind the struggles of the people of the past to achieve working rights and better pay, to guarantee their access to food and to the vote.

Free walking tour but must be booked in advance using Ticketsource or by calling the Midsteeple Box Office 01387 253383 Estimated duration of walk 1.5-2 hours. Please wear weather appropriate clothing and shoes. Some steps and hills may be involved.
