Woodstock Jazz presents - Hetty Kate in Concert

Details

Woodstock Jazz Set in the fabulous St Hugh's Centre, this is a bring your own drinks and nibbles event. Please let us know if you wish to be seated with any else booked under a different name.

One of Australia’s most entertaining musical exports - great jazz vocals & wicked humour!

Back by popular request, Hetty Kate is a delightfully entertaining jazz vocalist and hilarious raconteur. An Australian, now living in Paris but originally from the UK, this truly international artist sells out venues 'down under’ where she has worked with such luminaries as James Morrison and the Keystone Big Band, in mainland Europe and the USA. Charismatic and technically gifted, Hetty has a clarity of voice that is matched by her stage presence and as stated by Will Friedwald (Jazz Critic & Author - USA) “Hetty’s truly one of the best swing-style vocalists”. So, we’ve asked one of her long time musical collaborators and an icon in his own right, Denny Ilett, to play guitar together with the much-in-demand pianist Tom Berge and on bass there will be Paul Jefferies. This will be a concert featuring foot-tapping swinging jazz, humour and repartee. We can’t wait!
