Women What Dance, By Raconteur Theatre And Dance

Raconteur Dance Company brings together local amateur, graduate, professional and retired dancers for a show that has something for everyone. Women What Dance! playfully weaves together dance stories that sometimes challenges what it means to be a dancing woman.

The aim of the Women What Dance project was to celebrate dance through various stages of a performers’ ‘dancing’ lives. The process of creating the show was as important, if not more so, than the performance itself. As a group of dancers, we have pushed ourselves emotionally and physically to bring about a performance that, we hope, shares our joy of dance
