Marche Slave is a rousing and patriotic work based on folk themes, Capriccio Italien a richly descriptive fantasy for orchestra inspired by a trip to Rome. The final work in the concert will be Scheherazade, the dazzling romantic masterpiece, full of evocative melodies and rhythmic vitality.
