The play follows two couples who meet at a Spanish hotel on holiday.

David Pearce has just been laid off from his job and decides to blow some of his redundancy money on a foreign holiday. His mistrusting wife Amy is unimpressed as David talks up the carefree life. Also staying at the hotel are Robert and Linda.

Robert, a successful businessman has a strong dislike of foreigners, while his wife’s vivacious temperament has been dulled by years in an unhappy marriage. David and Linda immediately fall for one another and make plans to leave together on their own holiday.

A delightful comedy set in the 1960s that led to the highly successful TV sitcom “_Duty Free_”
