Ury Players Summer Showcase

Come along and join Ury Players for a One Act Play double-bill!

The event will be General Admission, using non-reserved Cabaret Style Seating and you can even bring along your own refreshments.

Ury Players, by arrangement with Lazy Bee Scripts, will be performing "The Shop" by Allan Williams, which the club performed for the Scottish Community Drama Association One Act Play Festival this year, reaching the Divisional Final. There will be a brief intermission, followed by the second performance "Keeping Mum" by Barry Blaize.

"The Shop" by Allan Williams It's just another ordinary day in the Charity Shop for Elsie and Margaret, with new customers and old friends. But they discover that one visit in particular was very special and will never be forgotten.

"Keeping Mum" by Barry Blaize Hetty nursed her Mum through a long illness, and now the old lady has died Hetty's sisters, Freda and Marion are there. Marion has come over from Spain for the funeral, but her companion, Carlos, arouses suspicions, as do rumours about Hetty's nursing.

Both of the above plays are being performed by arrangement with Lazy Bee Scripts.
