Details

Euripides’ Greek tragedy The Trojan Women exposes the horrors and the effects of war, as the bereft women of the sacked city of Troy await to be taken into exile. A cast of refugees and asylum seekers from around the world place their own stories of forced dislocation, loss, and exile alongside Euripides’ ancient text, reflecting back through the ages the eternal horror of conflict and oppression, both political and domestic.

The performance will be followed by a talk, explaining the work Trojan Women do, and the creative processes of the cast and directors.
