Details

A two-part play set in Carlisle. In part one, a family gather in their late mother's home, waiting for the hearse to arrive. As siblings Mabel, Madge and Norman share their loss with more family and friends, they reminisce and it becomes clear that things are not all that they seem. Part two is set on a pew in a church whilst guests are arriving at a wedding. Maud, a spinster who doesn't hold back on her opinions, sits with her friends Nellie and Winnie. Tongues get wagging and the gossip commences.
