“Don’t miss this heart-warming tale brought to life through fun, magic and captivating storytelling.”

Following on from last year’s successful production of “The Butterfly Lion,” The Black Dog Theatre Creation are back with an adaptation of the much-loved story of Edith Nesbit's famous story, The Railway Children.

The Waterbury children: Roberta, Peter, and Phyllis were leading an ordinary life in their home until a mysterious event turned their lives upside down. They were forced to move to the countryside near a busy railway station, where the trains passing through carried stories of mystery, friendship, and discovery. The young heroes found themselves in the middle of a true adventure. This journey celebrates the timeless power of love, community, and the unbreakable bonds of family. Gather your friends and family and embark on this exciting journey together.

This year, The Black Dog Theatre Creation is celebrating its tenth year of leading community theatre projects developing confidence, friendships and learning and sharing new artistic skills. Over the past six months we have been working with The Essex Records Office, East Anglian Railway Museum and the Heritage Lottery Fund developing an understanding of what life was like locally during the Victorian times before creating this special retelling of this much-loved classic story.
