The Pirate of Penzance

The Pirates of Penzance A comedy full of sympathetic pirates, blundering policemen and improbable paradoxes.

Frederic, who, having completed his 21st year, is released from his apprenticeship to a band of tender-hearted pirates. He meets the Major-Generals daughters, who are horrified that he is a pirate except Mabel and the two fall in love instantly. The pirates capture the Major-Generals daughters and plan to marry them but he tricks the pirates into letting them go by telling them he is an orphan.

Frederic makes a plan with the policemen to capture the pirates, however he learns that he was born on 29th of February, and only has a birthday once each leap year. His indenture specifies that e remain apprenticed until his 'twenty-first birthday and must serve as a pirate for another 63 years. Bound by his sense of duty, his only solace is the Mabel agrees to wait for him faithfully.

The pirates plan to take revenge on the Major-General, the policeman plan to capture the pirates- who will win? Will Frederick and Mabel live happily ever after?
