LOOT
A CADOS Production
Written by Oscar Wilde Directed by Robert Walsh
Considered by many to be the greatest English-language comedy play of all time, Oscar Wilde’s play about love, identity and social conventions has been very popular since the day it was written 130 years ago…
The play tells the story of two young gentlemen in London who each lead a double-life. John Worthing escapes his burdens of responsibility to lead an exciting carefree life in the city as his fictitious younger brother Earnest. Meanwhile Algernon has invented an invalid, Bunbury, whom he uses as an excuse to escape to the country.
When John falls in love with Algernon’s cousin, things get complicated and the duo are in for more than they ever anticipated when they encounter the formidable Lady Bracknell and their whole worlds could fall apart.
