The Horse & Groom pres Saturday Service w/ Callum Simpson

Saturday service returns bigger and better after the refurb at The Horse and Groom. Joining us is Callum Simpson Originally coming from northern England, Callum is nowadays one of the main DJs of the London Mod-scene. But as he confesses frankly, in the beginning it was first of all the sharp-distinguised style of the Mods that attracted him, the passion for the music came later on. Callum became a regular at clubs like Brighton Beach, No More Doggin or Mousetrap, and consequently it didnt take long until he got totally hooked by RhythmnBlues, Soul, Latin, Boogaloo etc. Due to his distinctive ability to mix different 60s genres with aplomb Callum got over the years invitations to famous places like The Boiler (ESP), Dance with the Devil (ITA), Lavarone Weekender (ITA), 100 Club (UK), Oslo Mod Weekender (NOR), Euro Ye Ye (ESP). Back home in London, hes one of the resident DJs of the POW WOW CLUB, well known for its eclectic mixture of 60s style dancers, oddballs and obscurities. As Callum puts it nicely: Every record I play (and have ever played), I would dance to and genuinely believe in! Expect a full range of Soulful sounds with a little something for every taste.
