Sheer Music Present...
Finn Collinson is a multi-instrumental performer hailing from East Anglia, his main instrument is the recorder. As such, he is heralded by The Recorder Magazine as a “Folk Recorder Pioneer”. Not only can Finn play the recorder, he plays guitar, mandolin, bouzouki and whistle as has appeared on a number of acclaimed recordings as a guest performer.
Not only has Finn performed solo and as a guest, but Finn is a founder and member of the award winning recorder quartet Aurai and London-based Ceilidh band Stroma. He regularly guests with fellow multi-instrumentalist Emily Askew’s Ceilidh Factor and has previously toured the UK with singer Tilly Moses and folk band Shorelark.
Finn has rapidly been gaining a reputation as one of the foremost exponents of his instrument on the English folk scene, performing at major folk clubs and festivals including The Sidmouth Folk Festival, Broadstairs Folk Week and FolkEast, and being shortlisted for the BBC Young Folk Award in 2018.
