Started in 1998 in Brighton UK The Curst Sons have a distinctly raw and earthy take on the traditional American music genres. Their inspiration is the pre-Rock & Roll world of Blues, Gospel, and Old Time and their sound has been described as Hillbilly Blues, Country Punk, or even Thrash Skiffle. Call it what you like, it's infectious good-time party music, leavened with the occasional dark ballad or wistful waltz.
The Curst Sons have released 6 full length albums and one 10" vinyl EP. They have been Runners up in the international Song Writing Competition (ISC), nominated for Best Alt Country Album in the Independent Music Awards and for Best Americana Act in the British Country Music Awards.
