Details

This well known annual competition is open to singers born outside the county of Cornwall and this year will be held at Tetbury Goods Shed.

Starting at 7.00pm (doors and bar opens 6.30pm) the audience will be treated to:

An exciting concert featuring fourteen up and coming young singers from the world of musical theatre and opera. Two experts from the world of opera and musical theatre will be judging the singers competing for the prestigious Chris Treglown Memorial Prize of £1000 (and for two further awards of £500).

Returning from an international tour of Phantom of the Opera the evening will be hosted by Daniel Jagusz Holley.

We are delighted to have musical director and accompanist Will Sharma for this event.

The Chris Treglown Foundation Fund is set up in memory of a most talented Cornish singer born in St. Minver, North Cornwall in 1988. In 2012 he was tragically killed in a car accident. Chris’s parents understand the difficulties young singers face when trying to showcase themselves and further their talents, especially in the worlds of classical and musical theatre. Chris, himself, had to leave his beloved Cornwall and travel to Gloucestershire to follow his dream.

The fund aims to provide support and opportunities for young singing talent.
