The Catstrand Singers: Singing The Glenkens

The Catstrand Singers are delighted to bring you the first performance of their new songs from their recent CD and book release, Singing the Galloway Glens. The songs are in a variety of styles, from traditional to modern. All have been written and/or arranged by Nicola Black.

Nicola has crafted newly commissioned songs, some from her own fertile imagination, some from poems and fragments of writing from writers, based on the area, it’s people and wildlife. There are also some arrangements of well loved, familiar Galloway songs. _‘I can’t wait to share these songs with my choirs and singing groups’ _Kate Howard, choir leader and composer.

The CatStrand Singers are a Glenkens based community choir who have been meeting for twelve years
