The Canterbury Players present The Game of Love and Chance

Details

The best known play by one of the most performed French playwrights - a sparkling 18th-century comedy of manners. Sylvia has been engaged to Dorante, a man she has never met. In order to observe Dorante's true personality during their first meeting, she makes a plan to swap places with her servant so that she can watch him without his knowing her identity. Unbeknownst to her, Dorante has also planned to disguise himself as his servant in order to achieve the same goal as Silvia. As the couples' 'game' gets more complicated than expected, what will happen when servants and masters exchange places and fall in love in spite of themselves?
