The Candlelight Club's May Ball

London’s award-winning 1920s-themed speakeasy party, with live music, cabaret and cocktails in a secret venue filled with candles, where everyone dresses the part.

With summer waiting in the wings, come and spend a May evening in our historic ballroom, where there will be live music from the mighty Swing Ninjas—a whirlwind of foot-stomping rhythms, four-part harmonies and the divine delights of the jazz tuba—guaranteed to keep your feet moving. When the band aren’t playing our DJs the Bee’s Knees will be spinning vintage vinyl. Calling the shots will be Weimar vixen Eva Von Schnippisch, evoking the decadence of 1920s Berlin with cabaret crooning, and introducing joyous burlesque from Betsy Rose.

Elsewhere our tarot Lucius will be on hand to glimpse into your future, while Michelle Krausz will be running her pop-up vintage jewellery shop and sketch artist Sophie Williams will be ready capture you in your vintage finery.

You can come just for drinks and dancing, but you can also preorder the three-course dinner, or reserve a table with Champagne (with a menu of bar snacks and sharing platters to order for the table). Ticket-holders get an email a few days before revealing the secret location (close to a tube station). So pull on your flapper dress and get ready to Charleston!
