Martin Pickett brings a classic piano trio to play a mixture of original jazz and favourite standards.

As well as being a freelance jazz pianist and teacher, Martin Pickett currently co-leads 'Time Is Of The Essence', an organ quartet with Pete Oxley, Ollie Weston and Rick Finley, also the organ trio 'Hummus Crisis' with Kevin Armstrong and Ben Twyford. In addition, Martin devotes himself to Big Band writing, with his own 'Once Only Orchestra', also for various established bands in the area. Previous projects include his quintet, featuring two of the finest brass players in the UK; trumpeter Steve Waterman and trombonist Mark Bassey. The group's debut CD - 'Lyric Pieces [https://slamproductions.bandcamp.com/album/lyric-pieces]' - was released in 2011 on SLAM records. Martin is also a house pianist for many acclaimed soloists including Art Theman, Julian Siegel, Bobby Wellins and Alan Barnes.
