Most pandemic restrictions in the UK are now thankfully being lifted, however the end of the summer school term has still been affected with many sports days being cancelled - meaning no egg and spoon, bean bag balancing or the infamous Mum and Dad races and lots of children have missed out on the fun.
Hamleys is now inviting families to enjoy a summer long sports day in their Glasgow store with fun challenges including penalty shoot outs with the Hamleys bears, sporty puppet shows, a Wizarding World tournament, sports day with Frozen 2 and lots more.
To celebrate a summer of exciting sporting events from the recent Euros and Wimbledon to the Tokyo Olympics, the Hamleys entertainment team will be split into Team Fun and Team Magic and any children who wish to enter the challenges are able to become part of one of the teams.
Store Manager Samantha Connolly said: "We know many children will not have been able to enjoy their own sports days at school so we’d love them to join us for some fun instead! There will be plenty of sports day style challenges to keep us all active in the holidays when the country will be glorying in some of the greatest sporting events on the planet.”
