Details

2024 will be the 34th Festival, come and help us celebrate!

Stonehaven Folk Festival was established in 1989 and has gone from strength to strength ever since.

There will be a wide range of events, many free, throughout the Town over the weekend from main stage concerts in the Town Hall to informal sessions and singarounds in the pubs and around the Harbour. Musically, a wide and diverse range of traditional and contemporary “folk” music and song will be on offer featuring local and International artists. There is also a good workshop programme using performers at the festival to share their skills and knowledge.

There are of course some fun things such as the World Paper ’n’ Comb Championships on Saturday and the Aqua Ceilidh in the Open Air swimming pool on the Sunday morning.

Stonehaven is a picturesque harbour Town situated just 15 miles south of Aberdeen and is easily accessible by bus, rail and road.

Performers include: Cherish The Ladies, Frigg, Saltfishforty, Karine Polwart, Stolen Notes, Charlie Mckerron & Friends, Daoiri Farrell, Aberdeen Folk Orchestra, Ruach, Lucie Hendry Trio
