Stepping Out - The Musical

Details

"Stepping Out is the warm and funny musical about the lives, laughs and loves of a group of women (and one lone man, Geoffrey) attending a weekly tap class in a dingy village hall. The ex-professional dancer Mavis, runs the class of students; the cheerfully overweight Sylvie, Andy a plain do-gooder with no confidence, snobby but well meaning Vera, timid Dorothy who works in social security, Maxine who's attractive, sharp and very shrewd, plain Lynne and Rose who is here just for a good time. As the show progresses, the class dancing improves to such an extent that by the climax they're ready for the grand charity performance! Transformed into triumphed tappers, they are worthy of a Broadway Chorus line. Originally a successful play, and also a film starring Liza Minnelli, this show was turned into a musical in 1984 and had a hugely successful run in the West End. NOMADS brings this heart warming show to life and promises an toe tapping evening for all ages to enjoy"
