Stepping Out by Richard Harris

Eight wanna-be tap dancers, one grumpy, traditional pianist and a stressed out dance teacher with a rather ambiguous back story come together in a community centre to tap........what could go wrong?

This easy going comedy written Richard Harris and Directed by Sara Winson follows the journey of this mis-matched group of tappers in a vibrant 80's London.

With very little practice and at times somewhat fractious tensions in the group, the pressure is on when it is revealed that the group will be on stage performing in a charity event within a few weeks.

As each character learns to place their differences aside, their shuffle-hopping, tap-stepping, scoop- ball changing skills rapidly develop. But is this enough to pull off a show - stopping performance?
