Del Fyniam is chair of his local gardening club at Snogley Village Hall, and a multiple winner of the annual prize for the biggest leeks. But not everything in the garden is rosy. Del has called an emergency committee meeting to discuss a few urgent matters, and winds up pushing up daisies.. Who is the culprit, is it glamourous widow Bella Donner, the fiercely competitive Terry Cotter-Potts, Dels long suffering wife Rhoda Dendron or the two lushes Flora Bundy and Daisy Cheyne?
