"Sometimes I dream… of anything! Of anything. Other than this." In a dingy cottage in Leenane, a remote part of Galway, Maureen lives an isolated life with her demanding, manipulative mother, Mag. One day, an unexpected admirer arrives and Maureen sees the possibility of escape. But when Mag interferes once too often, Maureen decides the time has come to break free – in a very violent way. ‘The Beauty Queen of Leenane’ is a Tony award-winning dark comedy by Irish playwright and film director, Martin McDonagh, whose films include 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri' and 'The Banshees of Inisherin'.
