Secrets of the Collection - Talk and Workshops

From our archive, the work entitled, Zoom Bird and Bees was originally commissioned from Pat Douthwaite for a maternity ward and interprets the theme of the birds and bees with warmth and wit.

However, on the reverse, an alternative work has been discovered, a work entitled Woman in Orange with a Pink Bow.

This event will offer the opportunity to explore these works and offer further insight into the work of Douthwaite and other works from the collection displayed at 18 York Place.

Alongside the talk, take part in a practical creative workshop, led by Artist Jeni Allison, inspired by the work of Douthwaite. The workshop will offer you the opportunity to make some prints and explore mark making using oil bars and pastels to take home your own artwork.
