Sean Gibbs Big Band

Trumpeter/composer Sean Gibbs leads a big band featuring some of the UK’s most prominent jazz musicians. Their critically acclaimed album Confluence was nominated for Best Album at the 2023 Scottish Jazz Awards, and has been heavily featured on Jazz FM, BBC Radio 6 and BBC Radio 3. Sean’s writing is steeped in the jazz tradition and characterised by lyrical melodies, hearty grooves and a deep connection to the blues.
