Last Saturday of every month | 26 February, 26 March, 30 April, 28 May & 25 June | 11.30am, 12.30pm & 2.30pm Show all dates and times The storytelling will give a perspective on the artist’s experiences and will support children with their own interpretations of artworks. Designed for age 3+, but all are welcome The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum exhibits a wide selection of works and will be hosting a series of contemporary art exhibitions. These spaces are welcoming and we encourage children to engage with the series of exhibitions we are hosting. Our expert Learning Team are here to help and will be running a series of relaxed, monthly art stories, designed specifically for a younger audience. Each month in the gallery spaces we will be reading a 15-minute story about a different global artist. The storytelling will give a perspective on the artist’s experiences and will support children with their own interpretations of artworks. After listening to the story there will be an opportunity for children to reimagine our collections through the lens of the artist, by actively participating in discussions and redrawing the work of the exhibition using the style of the artist they have learnt about. We are also an Arts Award venue, where your children can gain their Arts Award Discover or Explore, a nationally recognised qualification from Trinity College London.
