The Saint Boniface Concert Society warmly welcomes back outstanding Irish classical guitarist Manus Noble, who performed at our 2022 AGM, presenting his programme 'A Bard's Tale' . This takes the audience on a journey across many countries of the world and periods in time, featuring also other instruments: Irish Bouzouki, Handpan, Guzheng, Voice and Shruti Box, each piece being accompanied by a short reading of a letter from a person of that time period. Manus Noble is one of the UK's leading classical guitarists, known for his strong, unique sound, original compositions and varied recital programmes. Career highlights to date include recitals at major UK venues such as the Purcell Room, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Sage Gateshead, Bridgewater Hall, Kings Place and Wigmore Hall. Manus is also in high demand as a teacher, having taught at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, as well as directing the National Youth Guitar Ensemble in Wales. He is now Director of the Bunagee Guitar Festival (County Donegal). The concert takes place in Crediton's impressive Parish Church, which has an excellent acoustic, disabled access and free parking. Interval refreshments will be available.
