Join Primary School teachers from across Southampton for a day of training with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
During the day we will explore RSC rehearsal room approaches to teaching Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night's Dream and Macbeth, looking at story, characters, language and text. The training is open to teachers from Primary and Special schools and would be most applicable to literacy specialists and English/Drama teachers. No prior knowledge of either play is needed, neither is confidence with teaching Shakespeare. The activities will be aimed at KS2 but are easily adaptable for KS1, KS3 and KS4.
The activities will be practical in nature (but not intimidating) so please wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes. Lunch and refreshments will be provided as part of the day. If you have any questions please contact us .
