Join us for a special open mic night themed around nature, eco anxiety, and the climate crisis. This event is an accumulation of the links ReConnect has explored between art, mental health, and nature connection, as we invite you to perform a piece of music, poetry, or storytelling which explores your relationship with nature or your feelings around the climate crisis. Perhaps you wrote a letter during our ‘Letters to the Earth’ workshop that you’d like to read aloud to a loving audience. Whether you have a finished piece, work in progress, something by another artist, or you just want to be a part of the audience, this will be a night of community and shared art open to anyone who wants to come along!
We are delighted to have local nu-folk musician Zoë Bestel to open the night with a few selected songs, including her recent single, ‘Utopia’. £5 for audiences. If you'd like to perform, contact phoebe@catstrand.com with a short pitch of what you'd like to perform and what you may need tech-wise.
