The Two Moors Festival opens on Wednesday 5 October with a celebration of Vaughan Williams in the spectacular setting of Exeter Cathedral. 'From Pub to Pulpit' celebrates Vaughan-Williams's monumental contribution to our English heritage and his immense artistry and imagination. Combining folk, A capella singing, instrumental music, and choral singing, the concert will follow the journey of the folk music he collected as a young man as he transformed these ancient melodies into the backbone of the English Hymnal.

Programme includes:

Vaughan Williams: Mass in G Minor A Selection of Folk tunes including "Down Ampney", "Lovely Joan" and "Pastorale" 'From Pub to Pulpit' – join in and raise the roof with full-blooded renditions of Vaughan Williams hymn arrangements "reconstructed" from their folk roots to the Hymnal version.
