At HMP Holloway, five women are awaiting their execution on the rope of the famous hangman Mr Pierrpoint. How did these women end up in the condemned cell? Will their executions bring justice or revenge? And what toll does the process take on the executioner? Set over a period of 50 years, 'The Long Drop' considers our attitudes to capital punishment, murder and redemption.
