Details

Quodlibet is a dynamic wind quintet that performs in various venues in the North West, including Marple Arts, Buxton Fringe Festival, Prestbury Sunday Series, Gorton Music Society and Heswall. They were nominated for best small chamber ensemble in the Buxton Fringe Festival. They regularly join forces with the Bright String Quartet as the Cheshire Chamber Collective to play larger scale mixed chamber pieces.

Anna Shipton (flute) and Lindsay Kershaw (oboe) trained at the RNCM. Emma Tennant (clarinet) studied music at Birmingham University. Alex Kane (bassoon) trained at the Royal Military School of Music in London. Jen Ward (horn) studied music at Dartington College of Arts.

They enjoy exploring the repertoire for wind quintet, especially that by French composers and female composers. This French flavour will permeate their Afternoon Tea Concert at Spring Bank Arts Centre, as they play a poised and knowing quintet by the female composer Claude Arrieu, character pieces by the fabulous tunesmith Georges Bizet and a classic attractive Anton Reicha quintet amongst other treats.

Tea & Coffee Included and served after the performance. Doors open 2pm.

Tickets £8 available on the door, from Spring Bank Arts Mon to Fri 9:30-12:30 01663 308202 and online.
