Details

Through this new collection of paintings, Daniel Ablitt explores stillness and tranquillity, capturing moments of peaceful beauty from the modern world. Creating an escape from a place that's all too often filled with noise and haste. Through his use of light, colour, and composition, he transports us to serene landscapes, imagined, remembered and real. Each scene enveloped in a hushed serenity that aims to resonate with the viewer's own inner peace.

Daniel Ablitt’s paintings are not solely representations of an outward tranquillity; they are invitations into the quiet spaces of our own consciousness. The interplay of shadow and light, speaks to the beauty found in moments of contemplation and introspection. In a world that often values the loud and the flashy, his work reminds us of the transformative power of stillness, and the essential need for moments of quiet contemplation in our busy lives.

Through his exploration of quietude, he invites us to slow down, to pause, to observe, and to feel. In this sacred space of stillness, we may find solace, clarity, and a deeper connection to ourselves and the world around us.

Daniel Ablitt studied BA(Hons) Fine Art (Painting) at Edinburgh Herriot Watt University / Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Higher Education, graduating in 1997. He has since exhibited all around the UK, this will be Daniel’s third solo show at Sarah Wiseman Gallery.
