Details

The Professional Theatre Programme presents their Final Major Project, Start Swimming. James Fritz's quirky comic drama was first performed in April 2017 at the Young Vic, London. It was created with a group of young people responding feelings of being marginalised, living in a major city during a time of incredible political upheaval. The voices of those young people are still so relevant, and still resonate with us in today's unsettled society. The PTP have worked incredibly hard to interpret this bare script and to put their own stamp on it, interpreting the dialogue and staging the play in their own inimitable style. The FMP is the culmination of a 2 year course for actors and is a demonstration of the skill, maturity and professionalism of this exemplary company of young actors.Parental guidance: Recommended Age - 15 years and over due to language/repeated use of expletives.
