WITH MARK CARRUTHERS, SUZANNE BREEN AND WILLIAM CRAWLEY

‘On the high wires of first wireless reports, Sucking the fake taste, the stony flavours Of those sanctioned, old, elaborate retorts’

Seamus Heaney ‘Whatever you Say, Say Nothing’

Where do you get your news and whom can you trust? The more news we hear the more questions it raises. Who owns our media outlets? What is the difference between fact and spin? The rising use of social media and social movements have a role to play in how we consume news. Over the last few years, news and political journalism have played a large part in our everyday lives, larger than ever before and as such we need to understand what we are being told and why.

Join us as we explore the idea of political journalism in the modern age with a brilliant panel of journalists including Mark Carruthers and William Crawley from BBC Northern Ireland and Suzanne Breen, Political Editor of the Belfast Telegraph.
