Details

Parcels are a funk-pop group from Byron Bay Australia conceived in mid 2014. Shortly after the final stretch of high school, all five members leave their coastal hometown for Europe's hub of musical inspiration, Berlin.

That's where they sharpen their sound, a unique blend of contemporary electronica and matured funk disco, where wide synth soundscapes meet spirited guitars and five-part vocal harmony. Their debut EP 'Hideout' released early January, is crowned as the soundtrack of 2017 by tastemakers such as The Guardian, Clash, Noisey or Wonderland. As a first completed release from Parcels, the Hideout EP covers a lot of ground with tracks ranging from driving electro thumps to softer pop taps.

Parcels' unstoppable groove is contagious - the quintet's sound caught the eyes of the planet's most gifted robots: Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel De Homem Christo of Daft Punk, who co-wrote and produced their single 'Overnight'.

Following collaborations with major artists such as Nile Rodgers, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, and Giorgio Moroder and more recently their chart-topping partnership with R&B star The Weeknd, Daft Punk elected to add a brand-new name to a stellar list.
