Our Woodland Stories

Evanton Community Wood in Dingwall celebrate their 10th anniversary by inviting regular users and new visitors to create and be inspired by stories relating to the wood, the wider local area and their own imaginations.

A programme of public storytelling events and music will take place throughout the summer and autumn, exploring themes of midsummer, environmental champions, stories from other cultures, Samhain and midwinter. A special mini festival will be held in September to mark 10 years of the community woods. All events will be held outdoors and all are welcome.

25 June: Midsummer Stories & Music with Bob Pegg

9 July: Environmental Champions – create your own stories with Trish Matthews

30 July: Stories from around the world with Sita Kumari

11 September: A 10 Year Celebration with storyteller Lizzie MacDougall and musicians

29 October: Halloween/Samhain Family Event

28 December: Midwinter Night-time Storywalk

The events are free but donations are welcome. Please gather initially at the Woodland Cabin just inside the wood. Access by foot from top of Chapel Road, Evanton.
