Operation Blade presents Public Domain (Halloween Takeover) The 90s vampire slayer classic ‘Blade’ is the theme of the night with the club being transformed to match. Recognisable aspects of the movie will be present on the night and guests are encouraged to dress how they see fit to best match the vampire and vampire slayer theme. Barcardi will be sponsoring the night, with free drinks and merch being up for grabs. Continuing with the blade feel, who else is better to headline the event than Public Domain - whose infamous track Operation Blade (Bass in the Place London) sampled the track from the iconic opening scene of the blockbuster. Public Domain comprised of a group of experienced DJs and veterans of the Scottish music scene who began recording together in late 1998. Sampling a melody from a remix of New Order's 'Confusion', and here, Operation Blade was born! This later became a 90s anthem worldwide - from Ayr Pavilion to Berlin's Love Parade, then to Ibiza and beyond. Now run solely by founding member and Infect label boss, James Allan, who will be making his Club 69 debut on the night. Support on the night will be local legends and chief techno slayers Co-Accused, DJ and Producer Jay Gunning, who has recently released on the Trick Label and Nervous Records, and our favourite Close Contact resident DJ, Daz Scott.
