Opening Lines is a workshop designed to help you write a play. Learn to craft a powerful opening scene that will hook your audience and inspire you to discover both character and plot. The session will focus on a range of creative strategies to build a beginning that you can then use to write an entire play. A great introductory workshop for new playwrights or as a kickstarter for that play that you’ve never got round to writing. The session is led by Paul Birch who has written for the BBC, Leeds Playhouse, and York Theatre Royal amongst many others.
