Details

The Hub dance team in association with the East Midlands Dance Network are offering a series of contemporary based practical dance classes for adults. This is an OPEN and accessible class suitable for all dance artists/practitioners working in all areas of dance and the arts. Some experience of practical dance training is required for this class. Classes will offer the opportunity to move together in a safe and supportive environment.

The classes will be led by Emma Bouch from the Hub Dance Team. The class draws upon release-based technique building on strength, stamina, and coordination with an emphasis on floor work and finding fluidity in movement. The class will begin with a warm up to increase circulation around the body with techniques such as Improvisation. We will then move on to technique exercises in the centre or travelling sequences to improve core strength, flexibility and all round fitness. This is then followed by an energetic and exciting choreographic phrase. The class finishes off with a calm cool down to the relax the body.

Regular classes will take place at the Hub in Sleaford for a 5 week term. Classes run on Wednesdays 12-1:30pm

If you have not already done so all participants need to fill in our online consent form. The link to the form will accompany your email confirmation.
