Norwegian gnomes with Andrew Macdermott

Join ceramicist Andrew Macdermott for this festive workshop creating ceramic Norwegian gnomes to decorate your home with this winter. These Scandinavian characters are traditionally made to protect and bring good luck to the home and family through winter.

You will be taught the fundamental techniques used when hand building in clay and be guided through the build process, before decorating your gnomes using coloured slips.

Your pieces will need to dry completely before being bisque fired. A transparent glaze will be applied before they are fired again resulting in your finished piece which will be ready to collect approx. 4 weeks after the workshop.
