It's summer concert time, and Louth Playgoers are once again proud to bring you their annual selection of the finest songs from the theatrical world. And this year we are focusing on the sub-genre phenomenon that is the "Movie Musical."

Looking around the modern day West End you'd be hard pressed not to see advertisements for a musical that first began it's life on the silver screen. FromBack to The FuturetoMrs Doubtfire.The Devil Wears PradatoThe Lion King.Moulin RougetoHercules.The idea of taking an already classic film and transforming it into an all singing, all dancing musical extravaganza has really soared over the last decade, but you'll be surprised how many classic and firm favourite shows also fall into this genre!
