Music of the Heart

This concert features works which are rarely performed. The oldest piece - Hiawatha’s Wedding Feast by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor - used to be as popular as Handel’s Messiah in its Victorian heyday. We will also sing a selection of 19th to 21st century folk songs - including music from the USA (Amy Beach, Elaine Hagenberg), England (Cecelia McDowall) and Canada (Sarah Quartel).
