Highly regarded guitarist and composer Richard Durrant returns to BOAT for another emotionally charged, solo recital. His English folk baroque styled originals and carefully chosen works from the mainstream repertoire create the perfect showcase for this true virtuoso.

En route from St Magnus Cathedral, Orkney to Brighton Open Air Theatre and lit onstage each night by his bicycle headlights, this is another of Richard's low carbon "Cycling Music" tours designed to draw attention to the climate change crisis.

Says Richard: "The intense joy I feel performing live once again can only be enhanced by sharing the stage with my bicycle!"

"My new favourite guitaristRichard Durrant sits completely outside the accepted genres. He has a peculiar and wonderful mind." Tom Robinson BBC6 Music

"Brimful of technically impressive guitar playing on the folk/ classical cusp, with nimble runs, deft arpeggios and quicksilver fingering." The Independent

"Extraordinary virtuosity A simply unmissable treat." Classic FM Magazine

"He takes to the stage like El Cidhis virtuosity cinematic in scale. Brighton Argus
