Much Ado About Nothing - HMC Garden Play

Harris Manchester Garden Play invites you to see their 1970s-themed production of Much Ado About Nothing! One of Shakespeare's finest comedies, the play follows the interweaving story of two very different courtships fraught with classic Shakespearean misunderstandings and witty wordplay. The first concerns the young lovers Claudio and Hero, the former of whom is deceived by Don John - the evil half-brother of Don Pedro Prince of Aragon - into believing that the latter has been unfaithful. Amongst this quest to prove Hero's faithfulness, the second courtship between Beatrice and Benedick takes centre stage. Benedick has previously sworn to Don Pedro that he shall never marry, but Don Pedro and Beatrice's uncle Leonato have other ideas. They create a plan to trick Benedick and Beatrice into confessing their love for one another. Chaos ensues.
